Can you please e-mail me at mblown@sd45.bc.ca if you are able to drive on Tuesday and please let me know how many seats are available in your car for students?

Grade 5 Band Forms Due Tomorrow

Dear Parents,

Chartwell is delighted to offer the opportunity for Grade 6 students to participate in band next year. I spoke to the students today about seriously considering this fantastic way to continue their musical learning!

Please send your Grade 5 child to school with the band form completed tomorrow. I explained to them that money does not need to be paid now, but we would like to know which students are intending to join.

Please contact the school office or myself if you have any further questions. Ms. Rose Mary Lim is setting up an instrumental rental evening this coming Monday for interested students.

Thank you,

Mrs. Blown

Today’s Recital!

Dear Division 4 Parents,

What a wonderful recital we had this morning! Congratulations to all of the performers and thank you to the parents who attended to support our budding musicians, singers, and dancers!

I’m very proud of the work Division 4 students put into their performances.

Please enjoy the photos below.

We’re Excited to Host You: Pancake Breakfast and Student Led Conferences Today!

Dear Parents,

Division 4 students are excited to host you this morning! Pancake breakfast begins in the gym at 7:30 am – thank you to everyone who bought tickets!

At 9:00 am, we will welcome you to our class and your child will be conferencing with you on what they have learned this year! It should be a morning of fun and engagement! If you are not able to make it, your child will be paired with another parent.

As it is a formal reporting period, please e-mail me if you are not attending today, so we can set up another time for your child to lead the conference with you.

Thank you and see you soon!

Student and Parent Learning Surveys

Hello parents and students,

Please don’t forget that you are asked to answer the Student and Parent Learning Surveys! This allows us to evaluate how we are meeting your needs.

Link: http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/sat_survey/access.htm

Students, your “Logon” is the same as your “PEN,” and we will be doing these in class. Parents, your Logon information was sent to you in your e-mail by the school. Please e-mail me or the school office if you are having trouble logging on.

Due date is May 26th!

Thank you,

Mrs. Blown

Walk for Water and Potlatch

Div 4 Parents,

Yesterday was a very busy day! Division 4 participated in our Walk for Water to raise awareness about water consumption and water conservation. As a class we raised $137.65 for water projects in Ecuador!

As well, we held a Potlatch celebration in our class where everyone shared their cultural history, traditions, food, and knowledge from their elders.

Please check out some of our photos below!
